Name: Sunpaw
Age: 6 moons
Gender: Female
Rank: Apprentice
Clan: HailClan
Personality:
Sunpaw is genuinely a gentle she-cat. Unless you anger her – which is nearly impossible to do – you'll rarely see her dark side. Sunpaw is very laid-back and calm, and has this serene air about her. She's not known to raise her voice unless in battle, and rarely ever gets excited about small stuff. Whether it's just plain laziness or just the innate calmness, no one knows. But it works. She's very down-to-earth and honest, almost brutally honest. But she never means to hurt anyone – actually, she hates hurting others. Unfailingly polite to everyone, even enemies, Sunpaw is a very respectful sort of cat. Oh, she might be tart and sarcastic (she has quite the tongue on her), but she manages to do it in a way that's almost respectful. Also, she knows when to speak up and when to hold her tongue.
Sunpaw is almost obnoxiously friendly and cheerful to just about everyone. She's the type that greets everyone with a smile, even those she really doesn't like. She has an almost annoyingly optimistic outlook on life, greeting everything head-on. That's where her stubbornness comes in. Sunpaw has a stubborn streak a mile wide. Even if she is proven wrong, she will not change her path. She has been known as “mule-headed”, and once she has decided to do something, StarClan help everyone, because she WILL do it. Even if it means running cats over to do so. She has a sense of justice that no one but her really knows, and she will stick to that like glue. She doesn't disobey orders exactly, but if she thinks there is something wrong with the way her Clan are going about something, you bet your bottom that she is going to do it HER way.
But things aren't always rainbows and sunshine with this she-cat, and she does have a darker side. It is nearly impossible for her to hate anyone, or to get angry, really, but once you do, woe on you. Slow to anger and slow to forgive, Sunpaw has been known to hold grudges. Her temper, when aroused, is fierce and can be quiet violent, a change from her normal calm and gentle personality. She has been known to lash out physically, even though she hates hurting others. She has tried to control her temper, but will be the first one to admit that she doesn't have the best control over it. It's just wise not to anger her.
Physical Description:
Though she is young, she promises to be very pretty in the future. Sunpaw is a solidly built she-cat, not some light piece of fluff that will be knocked away by the lightest wind. She looks rather gangly, like most young cats do, with large paws and long legs. Because of her determination to be an awesome warrior, she already has developed strong muscles, though not nearly the type a warrior has. The tabby has strong legs that are just made for swimming, though her thick fur protects her from the wet and cold.
Sunpaw was named correctly – her pelt is a deep golden hue, with lighter ginger stripes, rarely seen in cats. Her fur is thick, protecting her against the harsh coldness of her Clan's territory, and extremely soft. She takes good care of her pelt, and can be a bit vain about it. She has a splash of white on her nose and her left front paw, and the very tip of her tail. Sunpaw has light green eyes that turn darker emerald when she is sad or angry.
Sunpaw has one particular scar that she wears proudly. Her left ear has a nick in it from a time when her brother and her were playfighting, and he got carried away. She wears this proudly, having a battle scar before she is even a warrior. Sunpaw tends carries herself with dignity, with an air of self-confidence about her... until a feather or something shiny passes by. She's still very much a young cat.
History:
Cherryblossom and Ringeyes hated each other, from the moment they set eyes on each other in the nursery. Cherryblossom was somewhat arrogant, and had a sharp tongue that she didn't hesitate to use on anyone. Ringeyes hated her insensitivity, a kind young tom himself. The two couldn't stand each other as kits, fighting about everything and anything. Their parents found it amusing, because even though they fought all the time, they were still always together. It came as no shock when Cherryblossom ended up pregnant, and although she complained a lot about not being able to do her warrior duties, she was obviously glowing.
Sunkit and her brother Frostkit were born one leaf-fall evening, the only two surviving kits of four. Cherryblossom was devastated at losing two of her kits, and couldn't nurse her two surviving ones. Cherryblossom's sister, a gentle and shy cat named Winterrose, ended up nursing them, along with her kits Owlkit and Dustkit. Sunkit was the littlest of them all, and the only girl, but she didn't let that stop her. From the moment she was born, she was a feisty, bossy little she-cat who was the total boss of her littermates.
Sunkit grew up as most kits do, playing with her siblings and friends, getting into trouble, exploring. She developed a close bond with her friend Duskit, who was just as hot-tempered as she was cold-tempered, and adored her mother. Nothing terrible happened during her kit-hood except for when she and her brother were playing around and he ended up taking a bit of her ear off by accident. Her father died a little after she was apprenticed, and although she mourns him, she is still the cheerful and happy she-cat she always has been.
