shadowstar
Shadowstar sprawled himself across the dirt floor of his den. He was lonely, but not so much that he needed to talk to someone constantly. He yawned groggily, having no intention to get up and patrol the camp. He just assumed nothing was wrong at the moment, and tried to force himself into sleep. He couldn't though, the rays from the morning sun kept him awake. They seemed to yank at his paws, trying to get him to get up and greet everyone. The first place he went to every single morning no matter what was the kit's den. Shadowstar had a big hole in his heart for kits, because he had a horrible kithood himself. He still had scars from the beatings, and a notch in his ear from... he wouldn't want to talk about it.
Shadowstar refused to get up, but he did open his eyes. They were just slits before becoming two citrine gems on a black silhouette. He saw shadows dancing across rocks from early bird warriors scouting the camp. Shadowstar pulled his front up, his haunches still on the ground. His weight was tipped on one of his legs, making the bottom leg go numb. He quickly stood up and kicked the ground in attempt to "wake it up," but it stayed numb. He limped to the entrance of the den and peeked out, seeing several blurred silhouettes of cats roaming around. He chuckled and looked at the kit's den. He saw four kits sleeping near the entrance, their bellies rising and falling with their breath.
Shadowstar looked at the waterfall in front of him. He, unlike the cats in the commercials in the twoleg telescreen things, loved water. He would plunge into the water if it was a freezing cold day, he didn't care. He was tempted to jump in, but he held back and lurked into his den once again.

sunpaw Sunpaw loved mornings, although, to be honest, there wasn't much she didn't like. Ever since she was little she had been an upbeat and cheerful cat, never letting anything get her down. The young apprentice smiled to herself, enjoying the warm sunshine on her gold pelt, fish clamped firmly in her mouth as she padded into the camp. Her fur sparkled with water droplets that has cascaded down from the waterfall, but she didn't mind. Sunpaw adored the water, and spent much of her free time swimming. Not only was it fun, it built up her strength, which was always a good thing!
Stopping in the middle of the camp, she glanced down at the fresh-kill pile. She had been hunting all morning, and although she had only caught a couple of fish, felt proud of herself. She didn't need to be told to do something, she saw it as a challenge. Sunpaw didn't mind hunting, as it gave her time to explore, but her paws were yowling at her to at least take a break. This was her forth trip, and despite her seemingly limitlessness energy, she was only six moons, and could only go so far.
Fish still in her mouth, Sunpaw looked around. The elders had already been fed, and she had checked on the nursery Queens before she went out. Most of the warriors were bustling about, doing their duties, so they were fine. Who could she give this to? The cat was stumped for a moment, before she saw movement out of the corner of her eye in the leader's den. That was it! Sunpaw knew that her leader probably already ate something, but she never knew. Golden pelt shimmering, she padded over to the den, flicking her ear as water hit it, standing just outside. She set the fish down and peeked in, voice light and cheerful as she spoke, “Um, Shadowstar? I brought fresh-kill, if you want it.” She nudged the fish with one paw, cocking her head to one side in a kittish manner.
