When you apply for the High Ranks, you should know a few things before you make the decision to do so.
For one, if you are accepted as a Leader, you will be given a Member Group Rank of Clan Leader and you will be the moderator of your Lands and Leader's Den. This means you must maintain your Clan not only during roleplay, but as if you were actually taking care of your Clanmates on the forum. This doesn't mean you have to get to know everybody, but you must take responsibility for your Clan.
If you don't think you can handle quite these responsibilities, please do not apply for a High Rank cat or PM me for help to get you motivated to apply. I won't laugh at you for not going after these ranks just because it seems like "too much" and I certainly won't bite.
If you have any doubts as to whether or not you should do what you are thinking of doing, please shoot me a PM and I'll guide you through it. c: These are the most important jobs on the forum so I want to make sure you can do it.
Thanks for going over this long message and I hope you all find this experience helpful and fun. :3
When you are a Clan Leader, you receive the following abilities:
x Accept biographies which apply for YOUR Clan as you see fit, given the fact that they meet the site standards.
x Make announcements within your Clan, preferrably in the Leader's Den.
x Sticky any very important threads that can't be bumped down, such as ceremonies held by you in your Clan. Ceremonies should be held in the Clan Lands or the Leader's Den; your choice. Ceremonies needn't stay stickied forever, however. Go ahead and take 'em down when you feel they've been up long enough for all to know.
x Lock threads that are no longer in use within your Clan territories.
x Bump important threads that have gone to the second page of any board of your Clan.
x View voters of any polls created in your Clan Territories so you may know who has and hasn't yet voted for any event you create.
Remember to not abuse your powers; for example, stickying a thread simply because you made it and you want people to see it just so it'll become active or locking threads just 'cause you aren't interested, but I trust you know to not do those things.
You as a Clan Leader should also keep a keen eye on whether or not people in your Clan are writing those Reports for the Report System if anybody breaks any rules, and I expect to see some from you as well if you find anything being broken or anything suspicious in general. I will personally test that you understand The Report System as a Leader.
If you are accepted as a Deputy you will receive the Deputy Member Group Rank, and represent the Leader's back-up assistant.
As a Deputy, you will receive these abilities:
x Bump threads as you see fit, but do not bump simply because it's your RP that you want to have live.
x Make announcements for your Clan in the Lands board of your Territory. This means you had to have told your leader and the leader agreed that this announcement was necessary to post.
x View voters of polls created within your Clan to see who has and has not voted for your event.
As a deputy, you should be your leader's back-up vision and keep that keen eye on Reports for the Report System as well. I will personally make sure you understand the Report System. I expect you to be writing reports for the System just like your leader if you catch any rule-breaking or if you see anything that should not be.
If you are accepted as a Medicine Cat, you will be given the Medicine Cat Member Group Rank.
As a Medicine Cat, you receive these abilities:
x Make announcements for your Clan as you see fit, such as prophecies seen from StarClan or anything else you find equally important. Remember to consult your Leader to determine that it is okay for you to make the announcement to the Clan.
x View poll voters to see who has and has not voted for the poll you create within your Clan.
I also expect the Medicine Cat to watch over their Clan closely and follow the Report System. I will be making sure you understand it as the Medicine Cat as well.
If you don't think you can handle quite these responsibilities, please do not apply for a High Rank cat or PM me for help to get you motivated to apply. I won't laugh at you for not going after these ranks just because it seems like "too much" and I certainly won't bite.
