Name: Flickerstar Age: Twenty-nine moons Gender: Male Rank: Leader Clan: NightClan Personality:
During his time as a warrior, Flickerstar was known to be 'manic-depressive', with moods drifting from morose to exhilaratingly energy-filled. He accomplished tasks with ease when he felt energetic and motivated, but on the other side he would sometimes have problems even getting out to go on patrol. It took him several moons to pull himself together, taking chamomile herbs that were given to him by the medicine cat to keep himself calm.
After this, he found himself functioning much like a normal cat. Forgetting to take the herbs would sometimes result in brief stints of oddity, but nothing that drew much attention to him. He always considered himself an impressive hunter, but fighting was more of a challenge to him due to his light and almost feminine build.
When level-headed, he shows an impressive sense of strategy, and prefers to organize battles as opposed to participating in them. If he can help it at all, he avoids getting his paws dirty. He would much rather think of tactics than use them by himself.
He has an ambiguous moral compass, making decisions based on his logic of the situation as opposed to any sort of conscience. He developed a strong poker-face, and a solemn mind to match in an effort to combat his hidden emotional chaos.
Flickerstar is often shown displaying an inflated ego, taking pride in his accomplishments, and bragging to other cats about things that he has done. He struts around like a peacock, spreading gossip in his favor, much to the annoyance of other cats. His narcissism is quite notorious, as is his sense of vanity in keeping up his appearance. He has always been ambitious, and also has a pesky desire to be better than everyone else.
Physical Description:
The base color of his coat is solid white, with the slightest hint of an orange-cream on his paws. On top of the white are patches of ginger, with faint darker orange stripes streaking through them. They cover him in a bicolor pattern, with a cowl of ginger around his head and ears, splotches down his back, spots on his legs, and a ginger-tabby tail tip. His fur is semi-long, not silky and flowing, but certainly not short.
His eyes are round, one of them being a sparkling blue and the other being glinting, yellow-amber. He has a notch in his left ear. Both of his ears have tufts of white fur on the top, and pushing out the insides of them. The length of the fur on his tail is longer than the length of the fur on his body, flowing and feathery, almost dragging on the ground when he walks. It is a long tail, but not exceptionally so. His cheeks also have an excessive amount of puffing fur.
His build is heavy in the chest, but slender in the belly, sloping upwards towards his back end. His legs are muscular and long, but his paws are dainty and tipped in pearly white claws. His face is narrow, and his nose is pink, sitting on the end of a battle-scarred muzzle. His back seems to be arched most of the time, even when he's not stretching. He walks with light-footed grace, every paw step seeming to barely touch the ground due to his lightweight build. History:
Flickerstar was born to a gray and white mother named Vinefoot, and a ginger tabby-and-white father called Redwhisker. He was named Flickerkit because the streaking patches of orange on his fur looked like tendrils of flickering fire. He had a sister named Fawnkit, and a brother named Russetkit. He lived a very normal life as a kit.
However, when he hit six moons old and became an apprentice it started to become more apparent that he had emotional issues. He was either very difficult to calm down, and found it hard to focus on training, or he would sulk in the apprentice den. Despite the difficulties, he managed to get through his apprenticeship with determination and hard work.
He was named Flickerlight after he passed his assessment, and four moons after he became a warrior the medicine cat of the Clan convinced him that he would need to take chamomile in order to keep himself calm. Otherwise, he could never be a valuable member of the Clan and would potentially have to go into an early retirement. He agreed, and the herbs coupled with his desires and ambitions to be the best (his pride also helped), forced him to become a hard-working member of NightClan.
His dedication and newfound emotional stability was noticed by the Clan leader several moons later, and Flickerlight eventually found himself becoming the deputy of the Clan. This advancement made him prideful, and the recognition started to go to his head. Some cats didn't believe he would make a good leader, but when he was forced to step up he seemed to take on the role with determination.
However, they still debate if he's a good leader or not. They do not doubt the fact that he is very good with strategy, but his underlying manic problems, narcissism, and slight cowardice do pave a way to doubts.
Other notes: Flickerstar's family will not be played by me, but I'm not going to include anything about any fates they may have had if they have.
